Grace serves as the 2017-2018 Carmel DECA President. Grace is a senior at Carmel High School this year and is a fourth year participant of Carmel DECA.
In 2016, Grace competed in the Independent Business Plan and placed 4th in the world. In 2017, she competed in the Entrepreneurship Promotion Plan and achieved first at SCDC.
In the future, Grace wants to study nursing and business with a hope of entering into health administration. She is ready to help lead Carmel DECA to glass this year.
Grace served as the 2016-2017 Chief Operations Officer, and was responsible for overseeing the Carmel Café & Market. She is the only member of Carmel DECA who has worked in the Carmel Cafe & Market for all four years of its existence!
Meredith serves Carmel DECA as the 2017-2018 Chief Marketing Officer. Through this position, Meredith oversees the merchandise side of the Carmel Cafe & Market and handles the promotion of the Carmel Cafe & Market, as well as Carmel DECA as a whole.
During her sophomore year, Meredith was the Head of Competitive Events for marketing role play events. In this position, she helped Carmel DECA members work on their role play skills. During her junior year, Meredith additionally served on the Marketing & Design team, which designs and promotes merchandise for the Carmel Cafe & Market. She was also a Carmel Cafe employee.
Meredith advanced to ICDC her freshman, sophomore, and junior year. She was the first freshman from Carmel to have advanced to ICDC (Orlando 2015). As a sophomore, she was an ICDC finalist in the Food Marketing role play.
In the spring of 2017, Meredith placed 5th in the world in the Buying & Merchandising Operations Research paper with her partner, Delaney Tejcek.
Her goals this year are to attend ICDC for a fourth time in Atlanta and place in the top three in the world.
Hannah serves Carmel DECA as the 2017-2018 Chief Operations Officer, which means that she is responsible for overseeing the Carmel Cafe & Market.
She is a Senior at Carmel High School and a fourth year participant in Carmel DECA. The past three years she has found many opportunities through DECA and advanced to DECA ICDC this past year. The past year she has also had the opportunity to work in The Carmel Cafe & Market and is excited to return to continue improving this student run business.
Anthony Zoccola // Chief of Chapter Events
Anthony Zoccola will serve as the first ever Chief of Chapter Events for the Carmel DECA Chapter during the 2017-2018 school year.
As a sophomore, Anthony competed in the Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making Event at ICDC during the 2015-2016 school year.
The following year he competed alongside Carmel DECA Chapter President, Grace Marchese and former Chief Marketing Officer, Jessica Deady in the Entrepreneurship Promotion Project chapter event where they were awarded State Champions and competed at ICDC in Anaheim, California.
In the future Anthony plans to study business at the Kelley School of Business and then continuing his education into grad school at the McKinney School of Law.
Robbie will serve as the Chief Financial Officer for Carmel DECA during the 2017-2018 school year. He will work alongside three other accountants to oversee the finances of the Carmel Café & Market and the Carmel DECA chapter.
Robbie is a senior at Carmel High School and this will be his fourth year apart of the school's DECA chapter. During his junior year, Robbie held the chapter's junior class officer position.
During both his freshman and sophomore years, Robbie competed at the SCDC competitions in the Marketing Communications Team Event and the Accounting Applications Individual Event, respectively. In his junior year, Robbie advanced to ICDC in Anaheim competing in the Franchise Business Plan Event.
In the future, Robbie plans to study business in college with a focus in finance. Robbie is excited to be apart of the Carmel DECA chapter as it opens up the newly renovated Carmel Café & Market.
Crystal Xue is the Carmel DECA Role Play Chief Competitive Officer for the 2017-2018 school year. She was the Director of Finance Events during the 2016-2017 school year. Crystal competed at ICDC in the spring of her junior year. In both 2016 and 2017, Crystal competed in the Business Finance Series at SCDC, placing first in 2017.
Crystal’s goals for this school year are to continue Carmel DECA’s competitive success and to expand resources available for role play competitors.
Ben Goldberg // Chief Competitive Officer (Papers)
Ben Goldberg will serve as the Chief Competitive Officer for Papers for the Carmel DECA Chapter during the 2017-2018 school year. Ben is a senior at Carmel High School this year and is a third year member of Carmel DECA.
Ben has gained entrance into ICDC the past two years. His sophomore year, he competed in the Human Resource Management Roleplay, and this past year, he served as one of the chapter’s Competitive Event Heads for Roleplays and competed alongside Carmel DECA Chief Financial Officer, Robbie Levine, and Xuchen Wei in the Franchise Business Plan Entrepreneurship paper event.
Ben hopes to assist Carmel DECA retain its title as the most competitively successful paper chapter in the world by fostering increased collaboration and teamwork between himself, his Competitive Event Heads, and the members of Carmel DECA.
